About the group
From the digital frontier to the physical landscape
Gredo Group holds two companies in two industries. What connects them is a refusal to ask anyone to take our word for it.
Our story
Gredo Group was established on 3 July 2017 by Engineer Nnamdi Francis Okereke. It began as the Gredo E-Currency exchange, trading digital assets in the earliest and least regulated years of the Nigerian market — a period when a counterparty's reputation was the only real collateral anyone had.
Settling cleanly, transaction after transaction, is what built the business. It is also what taught the group its central lesson: in markets where verification is expensive, the company that pays that cost up front earns everything else.
Nigerian real estate carries the same defect in a different form. Fraudulent titles, disputed land, and estates sold twice have made caution the default posture of every serious buyer. Gredo Properties was formed to apply the exchange's discipline to physical assets — verify the document, then sell the house.
Today the group runs both arms in parallel. GredoEx is being rebuilt as a single application covering global transfers, crypto custody and everyday bill settlement, while Gredo Properties expands its verified portfolio across Abuja and beyond.

Milestones
How the group took shape
Nine years from a currency desk to a two-company group.
2017 · The exchange opens
Gredo E-Currency begins trading digital assets in Abuja on 3 July, at a point when most Nigerians had no reliable route between crypto and the naira.
The reputation years
Volume grows on settlement record rather than marketing. The desk builds the counterparty relationships and compliance habits that the later platform inherits.
Into physical assets
Gredo Properties is founded to bring the same verification standard to land and housing, starting with residential stock across the Abuja municipal area.
GredoEx as a platform
The exchange becomes a product: virtual accounts, instant fiat funding, crypto swaps, dollar cards and bill payments in one application rather than a chat-and-transfer desk.
Two arms, one standard
The group formalises a shared operating standard across both companies, covering verification, disclosure of pricing, and in-house platform ownership.
What we value
Five principles both companies inherited
Drawn from the brand foundations of Gredo Properties and GredoEx.
Integrity
The commitment survives contact with a bad deal. If a title does not check out, the listing does not run.
Genuineness
The name itself blends genuineness with a fresh start. Nothing is dressed up to look like more than it is.
Quality
Fewer, better assets. A curated portfolio beats a large one padded with stock nobody has inspected.
Speed
Money that has to move today should move today. Latency is treated as a defect, not a condition of the market.
Innovation
Both companies run on software the group builds, so improvements ship to customers instead of waiting on a vendor.
Group structure
Two companies, wholly owned
Separate brands, separate customers, one balance sheet and one standard.
Gredo Properties
Real estate sales, verified land, commercial space and construction. Operates its own listing platform and inspection team.
GredoEx
Crypto and foreign exchange, cross-border transfers, dollar cards and bill payments for individuals and businesses.
